This branch deals with Reimbursement of medical expenses incurred for the treatment of police personnel up to the rank of Inspector and office staffs and officers attached to West Bengal Police Directorate, Kolkata Police, Forensic Science Laboratory and Directorate of security, Kolkata police Hospital, Government Railway Police.
Besides this branch also grants Permission for treatment outside the state of West Bengal after fulfilling requisite conditions. Medical advance at the tune of 80% is also granted for the treatment of member of health Scheme after submission of estimated cost by the recognized Hospital under West Bengal Health Scheme.
Where the Director or Head of local office is sanctioning authority and Pay & Account Office has raised Objection during clearance of bills sanctioned by them, the matter is settled by this branch after consultation with Finance Department (Medical Cell).
