    Police Modernisation Branch

    The Police Modernisation Branch looks after the following aspects:

    • Matters relating to West Bengal Police Housing Corporation and Kolkata Police Housing Corporation.
    • Forensic Science Laboratory including establishment matters.
    • Sanction related to Modernization of Police Force Scheme/ Security Related Expenditure/ Special Infrastructure Scheme/ National Emergency Respons System/ Pending Finance Commission Projects and any other projects related to Police assisted by Govt. of India.
    • Crime & Criminal Tracking Networking System Scheme (CCTNS Scheme).
    • All matters related to the West Bengal Police Housing & Infrastructure Dvelopment Corporation
    All sanctions related to :-
    1. Plan and Non-plan projects/ procurements etc.
    2. Sanction of death/ injury compensations related to Police personnel and CAPF (death cases of personnel hailing from the State of West Bengal only).
    3. Construction of all Police infrastructure including Police Station buildings.
    4. Social Legislation issues.
