The said Plan, which was introduced as a centrally sponsored scheme(CSS) in 1993-94 in the western states was introduced in the eastern states bordering Bangladesh during the Eighth Five Year Plan and the Cell sees to it that the BADP guidelines, revised in 2009, are adhered to while implementing the scheme.
